Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide opened The Westin Zhujiajian Resort, Zhoushan, marking the Westin brand's debut in the city of Zhoushan in the Zhejiang province of China. The beachfront resort has 263 guestrooms and villas, various dining options and leisure facilities.
Set between green forests and the East China Sea, The Westin Zhujiajian Resort, Zhoushan is near beaches and cultural and natural scenic attraction in Zhujiajian, the fifth largest island among the 1,390 islands in Zhoushan. The Zhoushan Putuoshan airport, as well as several attractions such as Putuoshan and the Shenjiamen Fishing Port, are located nearby.
The property has a custom-designed vertical garden in the lobby, inspired by the resort's interior architecture and regional influences; 263 guestrooms, including 12 villas; and other in-room amenities like a refreshment center, work desk with ergonomic chair, a bathroom, in-room safe and gourmet coffee. The hotel also offers the Westin brand's signature SuperFoodsRx menu.
For dining, the property has an all-day restaurant, Seasonal Tastes; Chinese restaurant Five Sen5es; and CHOKO, which is a separate dining area for guests to enjoy vegetarian cuisine. At The Lobby Lounge, guests can indulge in a cocktail, coffee or a cup of Westin Jing Tea with sea views. In-room dining is also available.
Resort facilities included are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a wave pool, as well as a WestinWORKOUT fitness studio. Also offered is the signature Heavenly Spa at The Westin Zhujiajian Resort, Zhoushan; and a Westin Kids Club.
For events, the property has more than 37,000 square feet of meeting space, including nine individual meeting rooms and a pre-function area. In addition, the resort will soon offer Tangent, the Westin brand's workspace concept for small groups.
