Wilson Associates Announces Major Design Appointments

Wilson Associates has announced the appointment of Jerry Beale as senior vice president and managing director of the Los Angeles office location and Dan Q. Kwan as senior vice president and managing director of the New York office location.

A well-known design expert, Jerry Beale transitions back to the firm after serving three years as senior vice president design for Wynn Design and Development. Prior to joining Wynn, he had been an executive design director with Wilson Associates for eighteen years.

Since 2007, Dan Kwan has been with Wilson Associates’ in Singapore serving as the executive design director of the firm’s specialty food & beverage studio, Blueplate. Kwan was tapped to take the New York management position following the departure of Margaret McMahon who has left Wilson Associates to pursue other interests.

Throughout his career, Beale has been involved in the design of the world’s premier hospitality and luxury residential projects, including the Mansions at the MGM Grand Hotel, Las Vegas, NV.; Hotel Bel-Air, Los Angeles, CA.; Four Seasons Aviara Resort, Carlsbad, CA.; Tokyo Twin Parks Towers in Japan; and Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV.

Most recently he led the development of spa design of Encore Macau, assisted in the development of Encore at the Wynn Las Vegas and the sixty million dollar Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas.
 

Dan Kwan

Over the course of Kwan’s 20-year career, he has successfully launched design concepts for numerous clients including MGM Grand, Novotel Hotels, Hilton Hotels, Intercontinental Hotels Group,

Ritz-Carlton Hotels, Mulia Group, Hyatt Hotels and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. Overjoyed to return home to New York, Kwan earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Pratt Institute and is also a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America.

His background includes design, management, F&B operations and an added understanding of construction, civil & mechanical design, structures cuisine and finance.

Both Mr. Beale and Mr. Kwan have received countless design accolades for their work through recognition within various international award programs and publications.
