Alila Hotels and Resorts revealed the Alila Villas Bintan, located on the northwest coast of Bintan Island. Singapore-based WOHA designed the property.
Located 45 minutes by ferry from Singapore, the 35.5-acre development will consist of luxury boutique resorts comprising 40 villas, including an infinity pool, restaurants, chill-out bar, library and teahouse. There will be a 10-acre hilltop village for a culinary, cultural, and community experience, including a museum, art gallery, boutiques, spa, yoga, organic farm, gourmet restaurants and cooking school.
There will be 17 two-bedroom pool villas located down the hillside to offer sea and sunset views. The open plan living area will extend to a private swimming pool and sundeck, as will the two bedrooms located at opposite ends, offering privacy.
There will also be 13 three-bedroom beachfront residences, all with contemporary styled living spaces with direct beach access. Upper and lower levels will slope down the tropical greenery, and will feature: sundecks, rooftop cabana, central courtyard, three en-suite bedrooms, private infinity pool and kitchen with pantry. There will be an option to separate the levels.
Singapore-based WOHA’s works span private houses, apartments, conservation projects, hospitality and commercial developments.
