Wyndham announces Super 8 brand in Germany

Wyndham Hotel Group announced the launch of the Super 8 brand in Germany at the International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) today.

The development agreement, which calls for a minimum of 10 Super 8 properties in the country over the next five years, was signed today. On hand for the signing were Wyndham Hotel Group President and CEO Eric Danziger and Andreas Erben and Martin Klöble, managing directors of Tristar Hotel GmbH.

Today’s launch of the brand in the country follows an announcement at the same event last year to launch the Super 8 brand in Poland, with a minimum of 10 hotels to be developed there in partnership with Colliers International and constructed by Unibep Group, a Polish construction company.

Attendees at IHIF this week are also able to experience the new Super 8 guestroom concept, featured outside the IHIF lounge (pictured below). The room is built using modular construction, allowing for faster and more economical hotel development. Perks include a USB charging station for iPods and iPhones as well as a walk-in shower.
