Wyndham Hotel Group to manage Wyndham Grand Xi’an South

Wyndham Hotel Group signed an agreement to manage the 565-room Wyndham Grand Xi’an South, a new property under construction in China’s Shaanxi province, which will join Wyndham Hotels and Resorts under the Wyndham Grand Collection.

The property adds to Wyndham Hotel Group’s 422 hotels already in operation and the 47 properties currently under development in the country.

The signing also expands the company’s portfolio of hotels in the Asia Pacific region, which currently consists of 490 properties and 68,602 rooms under the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Ramada, Howard Johnson, Days Inn, Super 8, Microtel Inns & Suites and Dream brands.

The Wyndham Grand Xi’an South, currently scheduled to open in Xi’an in December 2014, includes 38 suites, one Presidential suite, a spa, health and fitness area and meeting space. Additional facilities include three restaurants offering all-day dining and local Chinese cuisine.

The hotel will be part of a commercial development in South Yuanta Road.
