Wyndham Hotel Group to open first Planet Hollywood hotel in India

Wyndham Hotel Group, one of he world's largest hotel companies with approximately 7,540 hotels and part of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, signed a franchise agreement with JMJ for the first Planet Hollywood hotel in India. The Hollywood-inspired theme hotel, expected to be operational by the end of 2014, will be only the second in the world after Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas.

Located on Goa's southern coast, Planet Hollywood Beach Resort is a 115-room, 15-tent resort located on Uttorda Beach at South Goa. The property is a tourist's attraction with its low-rise architecture depicting Goan style, landscapes, sculptures and art works. A key aspect of this beach front luxury hotel are the tropical gardens and the coconut orchard that spans beyond 10 acres.

With large indoor and outdoor banqueting facilities, Planet Hollywood Beach Resort Goa will also offer spaces for events. It will offer services including sunset ceremonies and cocktail parties by the pool. In addition, the property will have a mix of eclectic boutiques, a fitness center, spa, pools and yoga retreats.

Planet Hollywood Beach Resort Goa will replicate the same style as its sister property in Las Vegas, typically decorated with movie memorabilia including props from famous films. It will similarly offer various restaurants.

Wyndham Hotel Group, part of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, has approximately 7,540 hotels and 650,200 rooms in 71 countries under the hotel brands: Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Ramada, Days Inn, Super 8, Wingate by Wyndham, Baymont Inn & Suites, Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham, Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham, TRYP by Wyndham, Howard Johnson, Travelodge and Knights Inn. In addition, the company has a license agreement to franchise the Planet Hollywood Hotels brand and provide management services globally.
