Alexander James crafts interiors of Starwood’s first property in Armenia

The Alexander is slated to open in Yerevan in the summer of 2017.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts is scheduled to open its first Armenian property, the Alexander, in Yerevan in the summer of 2017 near the city’s Republic Square.

UK-based designer Alexander James will craft the interiors of the Luxury Collection property.

The new-build property will have 114 guestrooms, including 17 suites and a Presidential Suite.

In addition, The Alexander hotel will also offer event and meeting spaces including a ballroom, eight meeting rooms and a business center.

The wellness facilities will include an indoor pool, spa and a fitness center.

Culinary offerings at The Alexander will include an all-day dining restaurant, a cigar club and a lobby bar.

Starwood currently has nine hotels in the Commonwealth of Independent States across five of its brands. Five additional properties are scheduled to open in the region by the end of 2018.
