Prizeotel signs deals for Dresden, Germany

Economy hospitality company Prizeotel has signed two properties for Dresden, Germany, the capital of Saxony.

The Prizeotel Dresden-Mitte will open in the second half of 2021 with 125 rooms close to the city's train station, part of a partnership with Villa Nova Group. The Prizeotel Dresden-City is slated to open in the Newstadt region in 2022 with 213 guestrooms through a partnership with project developer List Develop Commercial.

The two hotels will be the 18th and 19th, respectively, under the Prizeotel brand. Marco Nussbaum, the company's founder/CEO, said in a statement that the city has seen an increase in visitor numbers, surpassing 4.6 million last year alone, making Dresden a valuable location for the brand.

"Both hotels in Dresden are characterized by a particularly good connection to public transport. With the dual set-up of the two houses in the city, our future guests are ideally connected to all major attractions and exhibition venues," he said.

Prizeotel Managing Director Connor Ryterski, who was responsible for both contract negotiations, said that the hotels will be close to public transportation and major tourist attractions throughout the city.

Later this year, Prizeotel will open a 208-room hotel in Erfurt, Germany; a 160-room hotel by the Munich airport; and a 188-room property in Bern, Switzerland. Next year, Münster, Germany, will get a 195-room Prizeotel; a 294-room property will open in Vienna; a 210-room hotel will open in Bonn, Germany; and a 144-room property will open in Antwerp, Belgium. The company also will open a property in Dusseldorf, Germany, in 2022. The 14 hotels in the pipeline have more than 2,000 guestrooms, and the company has signed contracts for a further five hotels.
