Gilbane Building Company has been tapped as general contractor for the $700-million Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia, an affiliate of The Cordish Companies.
Located at 900 Packer Avenue between 10th and Darien Streets, in the South Philadelphia Stadium District, the 1.5-million-square-foot Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia will have 2,200 slots and electronic table games, more than 150 live-action table games, a hotel with more than 200 guestrooms, restaurants and live entertainment venues, valet parking and approximately 2,700 parking spaces.
Work being done by Gilbane Building Company includes demolition of the existing Holiday Inn and adjacent buildings to make way for the new development. BLT Architects is involved in the design of the property.
