Portland, Ore., has a new hotel underway. Construction has begun on a 203-room Hyatt House that will be located a block from the Willamette River. Williams/Dame & Associates is the lead developer on the six-story, 161,000 square-foot hotel, which will have 1,400 square feet of conference space.
The hotel will be within walking distance of MAX light rail, the Portland Streetcar, the Portland Aerial Tram, downtown Portland and the South Waterfront District.
In addition to Williams/Dame & Associates, the Portland Business Journal reports that the development team includes EB5 Global, a firm led by Devin Williams, which is raising equity capital for the project through the EB-5 Investor Green Card Program.
SERA Architects is the architect of record.
This new hotel will reportedly be Hyatt's first entrance into downtown Portland.
The grand opening of the hotel is slated for July 2016.
