Hard Rock to open second India hotel

Hard Rock International is expanding its presence in India with the Hard Rock Hotel Bangalore, slated to open in late 2020. It will be a sister property to the Hard Rock Hotel Goa.

"The city of Bangalore is full of culture and beauty and is the perfect location for our second property in India," said Todd Hricko, SVP/head of global hotel development for Hard Rock International.

The 210-room property, which will be managed by Convention Hotels India Private Ltd., will have a pool, dining options serving local cuisine and a rooftop bar and lounge. Event spaces include a banquet hall and three meetings spaces covering 20,000 square feet.

"We are so excited to be a part of bringing the Hard Rock brand to Bangalore," said Prataap Wadhwa, managing director of Convention Hotels India Private Ltd. "This project will provide an economically invigorating addition to the area, creating new jobs and catering to the IT professionals in the city."

Located in Bangalore, the area is known as the Silicon Valley of India.

Hard Rock International has venues in 75 countries, including 185 cafés, 27 hotels and 11 casinos. It also has 37 projects in different phases of development.
