Hilton signs deal for New Caledonia resort

Hilton Worldwide has signed a franchise agreement with the Société de Développement des îles Loyautés to open the Hilton Lifou Wadra Bay Resort, the company's second hotel in the South Pacific archipelago of New Caledonia. The 50-room resort is due to open in 2019 and will be managed by GLP Hotels New Caledonia.
 
Lifou Island is one of the three Loyalty Islands located off the east coast of the mainland of New Caledonia, and is accessible by air or by boat leaving from Noumea, the capital city of New Caledonia.
 
Hilton has had a presence in Australasia for more than 40 years. Currently, the company has 21 hotels operating throughout the region.
