Hilton signs first of four Chilean Hamptons with Metro Hotels

Colombia-based Metro Hotels has signed a deal with Hilton Worldwide to open the first of four Hampton hotels promised in the June 2014 agreement between the two companies. The 144-room Hampton Inn by Hilton Antofagasta, Chile is expected to break ground in July, and three other properties are expected to open by 2022. 

“Antofagasta is a city that’s booming right now in terms of commercial and retail development as well as economic growth,” Eduardo Rodriguez Suarez, managing director development, Brazil and the Southern Cone Region for Hilton Worldwide, said in a statement.  
 
Hilton Worldwide currently has five hotels open in Chile, including:
·        DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Santiago - Vitacura
·        DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Calama
·        Hilton Garden Inn Santiago Airport
·        Hilton Garden Inn Iquique
·        Hampton by Hilton Rancagua

Hampton Inn by Hilton Antofagasta, Chile will be located in Northern Chile and will be part of a mixed-use development.
