InterContinental Hotels Group is developing a new-build Staybridge Suites in Kennesaw, Ga., a suburban area north of Atlanta.
The 135-room Staybridge Suites will be owned by Apsilon Properties, a hotel development company that owns and operates several IHG-branded hotels in metro Atlanta.

Scheduled to open in Q1 2020, the Staybridge Suites property will offer a mix of studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites. It will offer an indoor pool, guest laundry and sports court for long and short-term guests to enjoy. The hotel will also include a lobby bar, a mini market, a fitness facility, onsite parking and 1,000 square feet of meeting space.
Situated between interstates 75 and 575 with access to Marietta, Ga., and Atlanta, the hotel will be located 2 miles from Kennesaw State University and near the Town Center at Cobb shopping mall, as well as several employers in the area in the manufacturing, industrial equipment, medical and healthcare industries. Business and leisure travelers will find the hotel location convenient to Barrett Park, Chastain Meadows, West Oaks and the Town Park office communities, as well as a variety of sporting venues, including East Cobb Baseball Park, All Tournament Players Park and Al Bishop Park.
Kennesaw is a growing suburban area located in the heart of Cobb County, approximately 20 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta. The city offers cultural and recreational attractions, including the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History and the 16-acre Smith-Gilbert Gardens.
IHG has a history with Apsilon, which owns four other IHG-branded hotels: the Crowne Plaza Atlanta-SW Peachtree City, the Staybridge Suites Atlanta Airport, the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Atlanta Southwest-Fairburn and the Holiday Inn Express Atlanta West-Theme Park Area hotel. In addition to this Staybridge property, Apsilon also has a Holiday Inn Express hotel and a Crowne Plaza hotel under development in metro Atlanta.
