Margaritaville to launch all-inclusive brand with Karisma

A new partnership between Karisma Hotels & Resorts and Margaritaville Holdings is set to launch a collection of all-inclusive Margaritaville resorts, according to HOTEL MANAGEMENT sister publication Travel Agent.

Margaritaville, an All-Inclusive Experience, by Karisma, will include new resorts built in beachfront destinations throughout the Caribbean and Mexico.

Mandy Chomat, EVP of sales and marketing for Karisma Hotels & Resorts, said that the groundbreaking for the first hotel is expected to take place this year, while the official opening is slated for around late 2018 or early 2019.

Although Chomat would not say exactly where the first resort will be, he did say that the first hotel will be in either Mexico or the Caribbean. Possible future destinations include Punta Cana, Dominican Republic; Jamaica, The Bahamas and Antigua.

In terms of Mexico, Chomat said that there is "heavy interest" in developing on the country's West Coast, specifically Los Cabos.
