Minor Hotel Group to open Oaks Bodhgaya in India

In India, Oaks Hotels & Resorts, a division of Minor Hotel Group, is set to open the Oaks Bodhgaya in partnership with GP Group and Top Travel & Tours. The overall project investment is $6.7 million.

Oaks Bodhgaya is in the final stages of development and is slated to open in the fourth quarter of this year. The first phase of the property will have a total of 78 rooms. A second phase is also under development, and will add a further 60 rooms when open.

This opening is part of MHG’s expansion across India. Earlier this year, the company announced Oaks Neemrana, slated to open in 2017. Additional properties are currently under development in China and Bali, Indonesia. The brand’s portfolio currently comprises 52 properties across four countries – Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates, with more than 6,000 rooms under its management.
