MP King George broke ground on Virginia’s first My Place hotel in King George, Va. Cornerstone Hospitality will operate the three-story, 64-unit hotel when it opens next year.

“With its close proximity to nearby Fredericksburg, [Md.], Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, Va., My Place King George is truly a gateway for us to cement our presence along the East Coast more than ever before,” Terry Kline, EVP of franchise sales at My Place Hotels of America, said in a statement.

The My Place King George will, like all My Place hotels, include on-site laundry facilities and a 24-hour store. Its guestrooms will feature a cooktop, a microwave and a full refrigerator. Currently, the King George hotel is slated to open in early spring 2020.
