Radisson Hospitality AB has signed a deal to open the Radisson Red Vienna in Austria's capital in 2021.
Located in the Leopoldstadt area of the city, the new-build hotel will be close to the Danube Canal and the city center. Designed by architect Martin Lesjak from Innocad architecture, the Radisson Red Vienna will have 179 guestrooms, a restaurant and bar, a gym, meetings and events space, a 240-square-meter courtyard with hanging gardens, a rooftop bar and terrace.
Elie Younes, EVP/CDO, Radisson Hotel Group, noted, "Vienna, one of the most beautiful and fashionable cities in the world, is the perfect fit for Radisson Red."
PKF hotelexperts, a member firm of PKF International, supported the hotel developer with a feasibility study and completed the operator search process for the planned Radisson Red Vienna, which will be operated by Radisson Hospitality AB under an international lease agreement.
"We‘ve had the site on the Donaukanal, just next to [Vienna's] popular Tel Aviv Beach, on our radar for several years," said Christian Walter, managing director, PKF hotelexperts.
