Rezidor to invest €110M in Nordic hotel renovations

The Rezidor Hotel Group is investing €110 million in the renovation and refurbishment of several flagship hotels across the Nordic region.

In the Norwegian city of Stavanger, Rezidor has already completed the total renovation of the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, and will now start a full renovation of the 364-room Radisson Blu Atlantic Hotel with a group investment of $20 million. That project will take place between September 2016 and the fourth quarter of 2017. The large-scale refurbishment is a joint project of Rezidor and hotel owner KLP. Backe Rogaland has been appointed as contractor, and Stavanger based Link Arkitektur AS is the architect and interior designer for the project.

In related news, effective September 1, Rezidor is terminating the loss-making lease contract for the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel Stavanger and will operate the hotel under a franchise agreement.
