Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts will open the lakeside Mövenpick Hotel du Lac Tunis in Tunisia’s capital city. Roberto Saporiti was involved in the design.
The 189-guestroom hotel, located in the city’s Berges du Lac business and diplomatic district, will open this spring (2018). Dining options will include a gourmet kitchen atelier experience at La Table du Chef, all-day dining at Le Grand Restaurant, and a lakeside terrace serving food and drinks.
Wellness facilities will include S Per Aqua’s spa, relaxation pool, sauna, hydro baths and gym.
There will be six venues for events, including a 750-seat ballroom.
Mövenpick Hotel du Lac Tunis is the hospitality firm’s third property in Tunisia and its 23rd in Africa with five additional hotels set to open in the region by 2020.
