East London's first Hotel Indigo to open in 2017

In London, Meadow Partners and Roquebrook have signed a deal with InterContinental Hotels Group to open the Hotel Indigo London – Aldgate. The 207-room hotel, slated to open in 2017, will be located in Aldgate place, east of the City of London, and will be the first Indigo in the area.

The property will be part of a major residential and commercial development project along Leman Street and Aldgate East, and close to key business districts including Canary Wharf, the City of London and Liverpool Street. The hotel is also close to several underground tube stations including Aldgate East, Aldgate and Tower Hill, and has connections to City Airport.

Europe has 19 Hotel Indigos open, with a further 11 hotels in IHG's development pipeline. Of those, nine Hotel Indigo properties are open in the UK and a further eight are in the pipeline, in addition to the East London hotel.
