Contemporary offering: Writing desk by Benjamin Boyce

British designer Benjamin Boyce launched a contemporary writing desk, characterized by a curved writing surface. Made of American white oak and finished with clear wax, the desk’s curved back and mint green vinyl writing surface give a contemporary edge to an otherwise traditional design. The sides are made up of thin slices of oak veneer that were laminated together, while the center is made of a flexible plywood core. Two drawers provide storage.  There is a strip of vinyl upholstery on the back panel of the desktop that creates visual continuity.
