San Francisco hotel debuts renovated restaurant, bar

The Blue Mermaid Restaurant & Bar in San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf, completed extensive renovations to its indoor and outdoor dining areas. Known for its exceptional, sustainably farmed seafood dishes and charming wharf-side ambiance, the 7,000-square-foot venue, housed in the historic Haslett Warehouse in the San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park adjacent to the Argonaut Hotel, has been transformed to offer an elevated Fisherman’s Wharf experience, featuring a chic nautical setting and locally inspired menu.

Designed to provide a casual dining experience for enjoying shareable plates and to accommodate larger groups, new additions to the restaurant include raised dining booths and oversized steel windows that pay homage to the historic building and its maritime surroundings. The expansive open bar, fashioned with rich colors and nautical textures, offers the perfect place to enjoy the Blue Mermaid’s signature, locally inspired cocktails like the Bloody Mermaid, Painted Lady and Steph Saffron.

Now offering a unique outdoor dining experience in Fisherman’s Wharf, the Blue Mermaid also features an outdoor dining patio, complete with fire pits for group gatherings. Surrounded by the original red brick façade of the Cannery Courtyard and offering waterfront views, the space is ideally located to enjoy a meal while taking in the popular and historic destination.

Showcasing fresh, locally sourced ingredients, the Blue Mermaid’s menu offers San Francisco favorites and signature dishes including Mitzner’s award-winning Dungeness Crab & Corn Chowder, classic Cioppino and Dungeness Crab Cakes, as well as crowd favorites like the Blue Mermaid Burger. Open Monday through Friday for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the restaurant offers a casual brunch with matching cocktails on weekends.
