Fairmont Hotels & Resorts introduced a new spirit partner across North America, Tequila Los Azulejos. The award-winning brand will be featured at select bars and restaurants at more than 20 Fairmont hotels throughout the United States and Mexico by end of 2016, with additional expansion across Canada, Bermuda and Barbados in progress for 2017. Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is Tequila Los Azulejos’ first and exclusive major hotel partnership.

Most Fairmont hotels will be serving the brand’s “masterpiece,” Tequila Los Azulejos Añejo, which is aged for approximately 30 months in fine French oak barrels, far beyond the industry standard of one year, giving it a golden yellow hue, rich complexities in flavor, and sophisticated smoothness and aroma. Tequila Los Azulejos Añejo is packaged in authentic clay bottles that are hand shaped, baked and painted by master artisans from the Puebla region of Mexico, in the traditional style of talavera pottery and talavera tiles, known as Azulejos, the company’s namesake.
Fairmont’s alignment with Tequila Los Azulejos builds on the brand’s continued commitment to shaping and sharing its cocktail culture, such as Classics. Perfected., the global cocktail program Fairmont unveiled in late 2015. In winter 2016, the brand will partner with its Classics. Perfected. Fairmont Tastemakers to release a series of new packages, events and a selection of specially curated barware products at Fairmont Stores in North America.
