Fairmont Royal York introduces two new F&B venues

Fairmont Royal York, Toronto debuted two new food-and-beverage venues: Clockwork Champagne & Cocktails and Reign restaurant, bar and bakery. The opening of these venues came as the property marked its 90th anniversary.

Clockwork Champagne & Cocktails is a new lounge with a statement timepiece in the transformed lobby—a specialty clock tower inspired by the hotel’s anniversary. This new centerpiece, the two-sided “90th Anniversary Clock,” was created by U.S.-based Electric Time Company, the same manufacturer as the hotel’s spiral staircase version of the clock that initially was installed in 2002.

Clockwork Champagne & Cocktails has a lounge inspired by the hotel’s past. It pays homage to the golden age of railway exploration and was driven by the train and railroads that first brought the city’s travelers to the hotel. New York-based architecture firm Rockwell Group brought the design to life. Other elements include a constellation clock that rotates within a night sky-inspired glass panel and Pullman car-style banquettes.

With a more spacious layout with an exclusive setting, the lounge caters to more intimate groups. It uses a sunset-inspired color palette and locally supplied statement furniture.

Steps away from the lobby space is Reign. Inspired by an overarching residential-style concept, design elements include a custom mural depicting traditional English garden scenery with a twist on classical painting styles, a fireplace, a bar with a grand piano and Canadian walnut incorporated throughout the space. With a nod to a classic manor house, Reign also has a curated art collection with collectible items and two private dining rooms.
