Hyatt Regency Austin pairs beer, music experience

The beer flight features a selection of four local beers that are currently available on tap.

Hyatt Regency Austin, located on the shores of Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin, announced the “Pints & Playlists” experience for local residents and hotel guests. “Pints & Playlists” includes a flight of four, 5-ounce beers paired with a suggested playlist to complement each brew.

“We are excited to debut the Pints & Playlist experience at Marker 10. By bringing together music and craft beer in a city so engulfed by both, we hope to bring to life the notes, flavors and feel of each beer that we offer with our playlists,” Cortney Harding, Marker 10 manager at Hyatt Regency Austin, said in a statement. “This project was created to showcase all that Austin has to offer for our guests and locals alike.”

The beer flight features a selection of four local beers that are currently available on tap to choose from including Stash IPA, Pearlsnap Pilsner, Live Oak HefeWeizen, Austin Amber, and 512 IPA. Each beer is linked to a playlist of at least five songs curated to reflect the style of each brew. The beer and playlists will rotate seasonally.

To take part in the experience, guests can visit the hotel’s Marker 10 and order the “Pints & Playlists” beer flight. From there, they will be given the flight list and pairing descriptions along with directions on how to access the playlists through their smart phone using the free Spotify app.

The “Pints & Playlists” experience can be expanded to also include a selection of cheese from Antonelli’s Cheese Shop, with pairing suggestions of which cheese to enjoy with each beer.

The experience is a complimentary addition to any beer flight purchase. The flight is $12 and $9 during happy hour, which takes place between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The beer flight paired with local cheeses is $19.
