Islamorada's Amara Cay Resort debuts casually redefined restaurant

Amara Cay Resort in Islamorada, Fla., opened its casually redefined restaurant, reelburger. Presenting epicurean burger creations with infusions of island flavor, reelburger features handcrafted burgers, robust salads and savory starters.

“There is not another concept like reelburger on Islamorada,” said area general manager of Islamorada Resort Company, Eddie Sipple. “Of course, burgers and the beach are a beloved, classic combination so this enhanced, epicurean burger experience fits well into this foodie island and offers yet another dimension of culinary for visitors.”

Inspired by Islamorada’s claim to fame as the “Sport Fishing Capital of the World,” reelburger’s all-day dining menu presents gourmet burgers, hearty “burger bowl” salads and social starters. Handcrafted burgers with unique toppings and condiments are sandwiched between toasted brioche buns and served alongside a crunchy pickle and choice of kettle chips, signature, house-made slaw or crispy hand cut fries, perfectly seasoned with truffle sea salt and fresh herbs. Reelburger’s specially developed blend of brisket and prime beef produce a juicy and supremely flavorful burger. The craftsmanship focused on the food continues behind the bar with a well-rounded list of tiki and craft cocktails, specialty shakes, beer and premium wine.

Those who crave fare aside from beef will delight in reelburger’s vegetarian and seafood selections. A taste of the ocean is available through options like savory fish tacos topped with pineapple chutney and a charred Fish Monger sandwich. For those desiring meatless eats, the Treehugger tempts taste buds by stacking a house-made vegetarian patty with melted provolone and grilled Portobello. Reelburger’s healthful cuisine can be paired with assorted fresh vegetables or golden-fried zucchini.
