Hilton's Curio brand expands in London, Middle East

Hilton Worldwide has announced a deal with Shiva Hotels to introduce its first Curio – A Collection by Hilton hotel to the UK. Lincoln Plaza London is set to open in late 2016, and will join 50 properties and 13,000 rooms open or in various stages of development across the world, including in Paris, Istanbul and Hamburg.

The property will be franchised by long-term partner of Hilton Worldwide, Shiva Hotels. Integrated as part of the 31-story Lincoln Plaza building, the 129-room hotel will overlook the River Thames.

In addition to nearby London City Airport, ExCel London and the O2 Arena, one of the largest indoor arenas in Europe, demand for the hotel will benefit from a number of large international businesses based in Canary Wharf. Catering for the district’s business travelers, Lincoln Plaza London will have 300 square meters of meeting space.

Lincoln Plaza London will join the recent opening of the Reichshof Hamburg hotel in July as a Curio – A Collection by Hilton property. Earlier this year, Paris' Astor Hotel Saint-Honoré was tapped to undergo a substantial refurbishment prior to opening under the Curio brand in 2016 within a traditional, 107-year-old building.

In the Middle East, Hilton Worldwide has signed a management agreement with owner Royal International to open its first hotel under the Curio brand in the UAE. Scheduled to open in 2018, the two-tower Rosemont Hotel and Residences is a 450-room and 280-serviced apartment property, which will be developed on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road opposite Dubai Internet City. Before that property opens, Curio – A Collection by Hilton Mall of Qatar is set to debut in 2016.
