AH&LA signs new VP of strategic partnerships, business development

The American Hotel & Lodging Association appointed Adrienne Weil as VP of strategic partnerships and business development, focusing on growing and strengthening partner relationships. Weil has more than a decade of experience with various member-based and nonprofit organizations.

“We are thrilled to have Adrienne join our team as we continue to grow our strategic industry partner program,” Kevin Carey, COO and EVP at the AH&LA, said in a statement. “Adrienne’s experience working for member-driven organizations as well as her unique understanding of both marketing and strategic partnerships will be essential to sustain AH&LA’s impressive organizational momentum and continued growth.”

In this new role, she will be responsible for designing and implementing a strategy to advance AH&LA’s partnerships with top industry suppliers and service providers. She will also oversee relationship management and sales with industry vertical partners to achieve higher engagement and satisfaction levels for these key relationships.

AH&LA’s strategic industry partner program serves to connect corporate organizations and brands with hotel executives and more than 25,000 AH&LA property members across the United States. Started in 2015, this growing program includes major brands in hospitality and many other industries, including technology and telecommunications, business and financial services, construction, hotel supply and food and beverage.

“I am excited to join AH&LA at such a pivotal point in the development of this program,” Weil said in a statement. “AH&LA has been on a remarkable growth trajectory, and I am eager to capitalize on this momentum and help move the organization forward.”

Weil joins AH&LA from Partnership for a Healthier America, where she was VP of partnerships and managed a team to secure and service more than 200 partners across a variety of sectors. She previously spent four years at the National Restaurant Association, where she led their marketing strategy and oversaw their rebranding initiatives. Adrienne earned her undergraduate degree from Brown University, and an MBA from Georgetown University.
