Benchmark, a global hospitality company, named Jim Koutsky director of finance for Stonewall Resort, a Benchmark Resorts & Hotels property located in Roanoke, W.Va. Ed Riley, GM of the resort, made the announcement.
“I am very pleased to welcome Jim to Stonewall Resort,” Riley said in a statement. “He comes to us with vast experience within the financial operations of multiple resorts as well as a with a hotel management company. We look forward to his active leadership as part of our executive team.”
A veteran hotel executive, Jim Koutsky was most recently chief financial officer for Visionary Destin, a resort and property management company located in Destin, Fla. He previously served as corporate controller for Callaway Gardens Resort of Pine Mountain, Ga.
Koutsky has held finance positions at Amelia Island Plantation, and during a 14-year period with Hyatt Hotels served as controller for a number of downtown hotels and large scale resorts.
Koutsky is a graduate of Southern College, located in Orlando. He resides in Bridgeport, W.Va.
The Stonewall Resort is a 201-room resort with a lakeside lodge and cottages, a conference center, restaurants, fitness center, swimming pool, spa and an 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course. The resort is located at Stonewall Resort State Park near Weston, W.Va., and a joint private/public development between MHLP and the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources
