Commune taps Trump exec to lead development, acquisitions

Commune Hotels & Resorts, comprising the Thompson Hotels, Joie de Vivre and Tommie brands, has named Todd Wynne-Parry EVP of global acquisitions & development. Wynne-Parry joins Commune from the Trump Hotel Collection, where he was SVP of global hotel development & acquisitions.

Wynne-Parry brings to Commune more than 30 years of experience, having held senior leadership positions at Starwood Hotels, IHG and Marriott, among other hotel companies. Wynne-Parry will lead the company’s global growth by sourcing and securing management contracts and investment opportunities.

Wynne-Parry is dual-citizen of Australia and the U.S., and has lived and worked in the U.S., Asia, Australia and the United Kingdom. He was instrumental in the development efforts for IHG, Starwood and Marriott in the Asia Pacific region.

He began his career as a hotel consultant in the San Diego office of Laventhol & Horwath. His tenure at Laventhol & Horwath, and later Horwath Asia Pacific, included leading the company’s hotel consulting practice in its Hong Kong office.
