The Gettys Group appoints Jerry Zeitner to COO

The Gettys Group, a global hospitality firm specializing in interior design, consulting, branding and procurement, promoted principal Jerry Zeitner to the position of COO. The promotion comes as Zeitner celebrates his 20-year anniversary with the firm.

“I am grateful for the opportunity and energized to help lead our company into the future,” Zeitner said in a statement. “The COO position will provide the platform to find and shape today’s and tomorrow’s leaders, working with our teams to find innovative approaches to projects, growing our company culture and, of course, having fun. Any success, personal or professional, happens when you are surrounded by great people. Our success will continue to be driven by our exceptional teams.”

“Jerry has been an integral part of The Gettys Group’s growth,” said Roger G. Hill, chairman/CEO of The Gettys Group. “His wide-ranging knowledge of hotel operations, program development, design implementation and procurement management has been an essential asset to our company, and we look forward to his singular expertise continuing to guide the company’s vision.”

Zeitner began his tenure with The Gettys Group as a project manager on a renovation of a Holiday Inn Express in Smyrna, Ga. He later was instrumental in the launch of Gettys ONE, a design group specializing in select-service hotels. He will continue to lead this group along with The Gettys Group’s consulting and procurement teams, in addition to his new role.

“As an innovative and entrepreneurial company, The Gettys Group has guided and supported the creation of new project approaches and entire new business ventures in which I have been fortunate to be involved with,” Zeitner said. “How can we not love what we do?”
