Havwoods International announces three senior C-Suite appointments

Havwoods International announced three senior C-Suite appointments to the company: Tony Lorenz, global chief marketing officer; Peter Jones, global chief operating officer; and Andrew Barnes, global chief finance officer.

The new global chief marketing officer, Lorenz, has 25 years of agency and client-side experience in the creation, management and implementation of brands, working for organizations and clients across Asia, Europe, Middle East and North America. He worked with Tom Byng to create the Byron Hamburger brand. Previous roles include: senior/board level roles at Coats plc, Endpoint and Conran Design Group in marketing and brand consultancy. At Havwoods, he aims to create and implement a global brand strategy with a unifying purpose and culture, transforming the business to become a force in flooring design.

The new global chief finance officer, Barnes, moves to Havwoods from the brand’s external accountancy firm, RSM, where he spent 17 years working for the global practice, seven of which were spent as lead partner providing advisory services to Havwoods. For Havwoods, he is responsible for global sales strategy and setting/implementing the objectives for company growth and overseas expansion.

Meanwhile, the new global chief operating officer, Jones, was with the British Army for 10 years, with active service in Iraq, Afghanistan and Northern Ireland. He studied and MBA at INSEAD business school in France. He spent the last seven years in senior management roles at Morgan Stanley, Amazon and Travis Perkins.

Established in 1975, Havwoods has distribution hubs in Europe, North America and Australia; and showrooms in London, Sydney, Melbourne, Rome and Berlin. The brand’s collection of engineered and solid wood floors is available in an various species, finishes, dimensions and fit systems, with a selection of over 1,000 different types of wood flooring to choose from.
