Horwath HTL gets new global chairman

Hospitality, tourism and leisure consulting and advisory firm Horwath HTL, part of the Crowe Global network, has appointed Philip Bacon global chairman, effective immediately. Philip Bacon succeeds John Fareed, who has stepped down from the role and will remain an active member of the Horwath HTL network.

“Serving as global chairman of Horwath HTL has been one of the greatest privileges of my professional life,” Fareed said in a statement. “I leave this role with complete confidence in the future of this outstanding global organisation and in Philip Bacon’s ability to lead it into its next chapter. I am proud to remain part of the Horwath HTL network and look forward to continuing to contribute to its success.”

Philip Bacon is a long-standing member of the Horwath HTL Committee. “I am honored to take on the role of global chairman and deeply grateful for the confidence placed in me,” he said in the statement. “John Fareed has left Horwath HTL in an excellent position, and I look forward to building on that strong foundation alongside our extraordinary global team. Our network’s strength lies in the talent, dedication and expertise of our people, and I am committed to ensuring we continue to grow and lead in everything we do.”

“Philip's appointment is excellent news for our network,” Kamel Abouchacra, chief executive officer of Crowe Global said. “His deep roots in Horwath HTL and his standing across the global hospitality industry make him the ideal person to lead into its next chapter. By combining Crowe's broad professional services capabilities with Horwath HTL's deep industry expertise, we can create greater value for clients and unlock new growth opportunities.”
