Hotel Equities appoints Juanita Stallworth as VP of human resources

Atlanta-based Hotel Equities recently named Juanita Stallworth as VP of human resources for the firm, which has more than 100 hotels in 22 states nationwide.

Stallworth’s responsibilities include oversight of the human resources department including labor law compliance, writing and administering policy, recruiting and staffing, performance management and employee relations.

Stallworth joined Hotel Equities from the Atlanta office of Samsung Electronics where she served as a manager of human resources for the past two years. She held the top HR position at Samsung, a Fortune 100 provider of electronics, and partnered with the firm’s executive management to grow the business group through innovative human resources management.

After beginning her career at EFL in Chicago, where she rose to serve as VP of human resources, she moved to Atlanta as associate development supervisor/human resources for The Home Depot. Additional positions in Atlanta included director of human resources for Papa John’s International and regional manager, human resources, RadioShack Corporation.

Stallworth holds a B.A. degree in communication arts from Columbia College, Chicago. In addition to holding several professional certifications, Stallworth is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and two professional affiliate organizations.

Stallworth is also involved in her local community, heading the Trustee Board, directs the choir and volunteers in the homeless ministry at her church. She also enjoys travel, music and theater.  As a resident of Lilburn, in Gwinnett County, Ga., she and her husband Jessie are the parents of five children.
