Brown is responsible for advising and supporting Hotel Equities' overall human capital strategy and its compliance programs. Her principle areas of focus include recruitment of key staff, workforce and succession planning, administering policy, risk mitigation and enhancing associate and owner relations.

“An outstanding leader with versatile hands-on human resources experience, Toi brings a strategic lens and dedicated professionalism to our diverse and growing team of associates,” Bryan DeCort, SVP of operations of Hotel Equities, said in a statement. “Toi immediately elevates our human resources team and, in today’s complex environment, this is mission critical.”

Brown joined Hotel Equities from Jackson Pierce Public Affairs, where she spent the past 11 years leading a human resources team. She and her team served a five-state area and provided support to clients on human resources policies and procedures regarding management practices, onboarding, compensation, compliance and more to support business objectives and contractual agreements.

Prior to Jackson Pierce, Brown served as training and development manager for Jamestown Properties. She worked with C- Suite, senior managers and department heads to determine training needs, identify training gaps and execute an overall strategy.

Brown earned a bachelor of arts in communications at Clark Atlanta University. She holds membership in the Society for Human Resources Management and the Association for Talent Development.

A native of South Florida, Brown has lived in the greater Atlanta area for more than 26 years. She currently resides in Mableton, Ga., with her husband Tourek, their two sons Tourek Jr. and Ashton and their Yorkie, Sam.
