Jared Mintz signs on as director of group sales for future California Rosewood

Jared Mintz has been appointed director of group sales at Rosewood Miramar Beach Montecito, which will open in 2018 as the ultra-luxury collection’s third property in California. In this role, Mintz will be responsible for identifying and developing innovative sales opportunities and initiatives and for driving revenue through group bookings.

“Jared’s impressive breadth of industry expertise and familiarity with the American West make him a valuable addition to the Rosewood Miramar Beach Montecito team,” Radha Arora, president of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, said in a statement. “As we approach the property’s opening next year, we are confident Jared’s contributions will be pivotal in ensuring a successful opening and beyond.” 

Mintz joins Rosewood with more than 15 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry. Most recently, Mintz served as the director of convention sales at Alon Las Vegas, a start-up luxury hotel and casino in Nevada, where he developed the business, marketing and budgeting plans for the property. Prior to this role, Mintz spent nearly six years at the Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas as the associate director of sales and the senior sales manager for group, entertainment, and corporate bookings. Additionally, Mintz spent over seven years with Four Seasons, where he assumed a number of roles at both the Four Seasons Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and the Four Seasons Las Vegas

Rosewood Miramar Beach Montecito will open in 2018 as the collection’s third property in California. Located on the site of the former Miramar Beach Hotel, an landmark in the local community, the property will serve as a destination for both locals and visitors. On-property amenities include an oceanside bar and restaurant with an outdoor terrace, a restaurant, two swimming pools, a Sense Spa, a fitness center, a beach club and a screening room. In addition, there will be 12,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space including a 6,000-square-foot ballroom.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts manages 19 luxury properties in 11 countries, with 17 new hotels under development. The company targets to double its number of hotels in operation by 2020.
