LodgeWorks names new VP of development

LodgeWorks Partners has named Bob Mannon VP of development. The privately held hotel development and management company said it is in expansion mode following two imminent New York hotel openings: Archer Hotel New York and Hampton Inn Brooklyn/Downtown.
Mannon brings nearly 30 years of expertise to the table, with two-thirds of his career having been spent in the hospitality industry with Marriott International, most recently as SVP, North America corporate development.
In his new role, Mannon will oversee all areas of development including market analysis, property selection, land use matters, financial analysis, contract negotiations, estimating and finance structure.
Currently, LodgeWorks is building a Hyatt Place in Yonkers, N.Y., and planning to break ground on two new additions to the Archer collection in Austin and Napa later this year.
“We are extremely excited to have Bob join our group,” said Don Marvin, EVP development and construction for LodgeWorks. “To have someone with his breadth of knowledge and experience in the hotel development area is a major benefit to us.”
