Nicholas Gold appointed GM of Hawaii’s The Club at Kukui’ula

Nicholas Gold has been named GM of The Club at Kukui‘ula, a luxury resort and real estate community on the south shore of Kauai, Hawaii. Gold joins the Kukui‘ula ‘ohana' (family) this month, overseeing day-to-day operations of The Club—encompassing ocean activities, spa, golf, the farm and dining available to members and guests—as well as overall strategic vision.

Gold came to the United States from Britain in the late '80s and began his career in the hospitality industry. He brings an extensive hospitality and leadership background to Kukui‘ula, having worked with properties such as: Amangiri in Utah, Enchantment and Miraval Resorts in Arizona and Condado Vanderbilt in Puerto Rico, to name a few. Gold’s previous experience stems from food-and-beverage operations to managing destination resorts and spas.

“Nicholas’ well rounded knowledge of destinations, hospitality and providing a warm, authentic luxury experience perfectly aligns with our values here at Kukui‘ula,” Richard Albrecht, president of Kukui‘ula, said in a statement. “We look forward to Nicholas’ refreshing outlook and take on The Club, while still embracing what gives Kukui‘ula such a unique sense of place.”

“I am committed to the members and guests here at Kukui‘ula, helping this community grow and evolve,” Gold said in a statement. “I am new to Kauai and am excited to immerse myself into the island culture.  The aloha spirit at Kukui‘ula is truly unique in all the destinations I’ve worked  or visited and I am excited to be part of this project and this family.”

Kukui‘ula is developed by Kukui‘ula Development Company (Hawaii), an affiliate of DMB Associates, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based diversified real estate development and investment firm, and Alexander & Baldwin, one of Hawai’i’s largest private landowners.
