Wyndham hires SVP, franchise sales and development—West

Shane Platt has joined Wyndham Hotels & Resorts as SVP, franchise sales and development for the West. In his new position, Platt will lead the conversion and full-service franchise sales teams in the Western U.S.

With more than 20 years of experience in hotel franchise and technology sales, Platt most recently served as managing director of development at Best Western International where he was responsible for creating and managing a franchise sales team to promote and sell Best Western’s SureStay Hotels brand. Before this role, he held sales positions with a number of hospitality companies including Choice Hotels and HFS, Wyndham’s predecessor.
 

Platt’s addition will support Wyndham’s existing franchise sales organization, comprising Eastern U.S. and Canada conversion and full-service franchise sales led by Brian Krause, SVP; limited-service new-construction franchise sales under David Wilner, SVP; and managed sales, led by Kevin Brickner, SVP.
