Shaner Hotel Group names new SVP of operations

Shaner Hotel Holdings, an owner-operator of full- and select-service hotels based in State College, Pa., has announced that former Marriott International operations and marketing executive Lisa Larson has been appointed SVP of operations for the company's select-service hotels division.

With more than 25 years of senior management leadership e xperience across hotel operations, sales and marketing, Larsons operations responsibilities at Shaner Hotels will include the companys select-service sales, marketing, e-commerce and revenue management for Shaners broad portfolio. Larson most recently served in a senior leadership role with Texas Western Hospitality, which is comprised of Marriott and Hilton brand hotels in Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona and North Carolina. Her hospitality career includes extensive operations, sales and marketing experience with Marriott, IHG and Hilton brands.

During her 12-year tenure with Marriott International, Larson was integral in building Marriott's select-service and extended-stay brands operations, sales and marketing campaigns. Her industry experience also includes six years in operations, sales and marketing positions with Tharaldson Hospitality Management.

Shaner Hotels Groups current portfolio is comprised of more than 40 hotels with over 5,000 rooms in 17 states and two countries.
