Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead appoints Kerrington Hing as GM

Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead appointed Kerrington Hing as GM of the 127-room hotel. In his new position, Hing will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel, including hotel management, guest experience and day-to-day operations of the property, comprised of a 15,000-square-foot spa, meeting and event space and 47 private residences.

A 27-year hospitality veteran, Hing most recently served as GM of Waldorf Astoria Park City (Utah) for more than seven years. Before becoming a GM with Waldorf Astoria, he served as GM at The Ritz-Carlton Club, Aspen (Colo.) Highlands and The Ranch at Rock Creek in Philipsburg, Mont.

Hing began his career at Minneapolis Airport Marriott as a credit manager before joining Portland (Ore.) Marriott as assistant controller. He then joined JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, Calif., as senior assistant controller before taking on the role of director of finance at Calgary Marriott Downtown Hotel, The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club and JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa. Hing went on to serve as area director of finance and then hotel manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch in Avon, Colo., until 2009.

Hing holds a bachelor’s degree in international business from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minn.
