IHIF: Choice Opens 12 Hotels Across Europe in Four Months

Choice Hotels Europe--the company behind the Comfort, Quality and Clarion brands in Europe and part of Choice Hotels International--announced today at IHIF that it has opened 12 European properties since October 2013 in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany and Italy.

Five of the new properties are located in the UK and include Comfort Inn Manchester North, the first Choice brand hotel in the North West City. Others recently added are Quality Hotel Birmingham NEC, Quality Hotel Wolverhampton, Clarion Collection Hotel Buckerell Lodge in Exeter and Clarion Collection Hotel Richmond Gate. Dublin’s gibson hotel also joined Choice’s Ascend Hotel Collection.

Comfort Inn Westminster, located in London’s Belgravia area, is set to join the network later this month to become Choice Hotel’s 19th property in the UK capital.

Four hotels have opened in France, including the Quality Hotel du Golf Montpellier Juvignac (near the Southern city of Montpellier and within close proximity to two major golf courses). The first Quality brand in Northern France, the 66-room Quality Hotel Dunkerque is located 20 kilometers from the Belgian border, and the Comfort Hotel Paris Est Saint-Maur is 30 minutes away from central Paris.

In Italy, the 100-room Quality Hotel Green Palace Rome is the seventh Choice Hotels’ property in the Eternal City. Located to the North East and less than 20 kilometers from the city center, the hotel is close to the Monterotondo Train Station.

Comfort Hotel Friedrichshafen, located in the Zeppelin town of Friedrichshafen on the northern shore of Lake Constance in Southern Germany is the 35th hotel in the German portfolio.

Choice Hotels Europe franchises nearly 500 hotels across Europe.
