N.C. State to get Autograph hotel, conference facility

Wolfpack fans will soon have a new hotel to fill. N.C. State University is announcing plans to develop a privately managed hotel and conference facility on Centennial Campus, under Marriott's Autograph Collection, The Associated Press reports.

The hotel is expected to open in 2016 with 155 rooms and 7,500 square feet of meeting space.

The hotel will overlook Lake Raleigh and sit adjacent to the current Park Alumni Center, with conference facility space complementary to the center.

The $28-million project will be privately funded and developed by a partnership between Concord Eastridge Inc. of Arlington, Va., and Noble Investment Group of Atlanta.

In North Carolina, the Marriott Autograph Collection counts The Siena Hotel in Chapel Hill and the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Asheville among its members.
