The International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC) partnered with the International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) to open submissions for the sixth IHIF Young Leader Award. This award recognizes contributions to the annual IHIF program, and will continue to be open for candidates worldwide.
Candidates for nomination must be under 35 years of age, employed in a hospitality-related field, must have completed a significant project for his/her hotel or organization, and must be recognized by leaders of their own hotel or organization as an emerging leader.
The deadline for submissions for this award is January 31, 2014. All candidates must be nominated by another person from within their organization or by someone with direct work experience with the nominee.
Additionally, IHIF will honor hotelier Ian Schrager with a lifetime achievement award. Schrager is associated with the introduction of global hotel concepts such as the “boutique hotel,” the concept of “lobby socializing,” “cheap chic” and “urban resorts.” The award will be presented on Tuesday March 4, 2014, at 10:45 am. An interview will follow the award presentation.
