11 openings from Hilton, Marriott, others

Late April and the first few days of May have brought a wave of hotel openings, including five from Hilton and four from Marriott International and have featured debuts in South Carolina, Washington, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Virginia, California, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Texas and New York.

Hilton

Tru by Hilton Seneca Clemson opened in South Carolina near Clemson University. Clemson SC Hotel Group, LLC owns the 98-room hotel and Paragon Hotel Co. manages it. The hotel features a complimentary breakfast bar, mobile check-in and a fitness center.

Hilton Garden Inn Wenatchee debuted along the Columbia River in central Washington. The hotel offers more than 2,800 square feet of flexible meeting space, which can accommodate up to 170 persons theater-style. Other features include an onsite restaurant and bar, an indoor heated pool and hot tub, a fitness center and access to a 22-mile recreational trail. Hilton Garden Inn Wenatchee is owned by WenDBR LLC and operated by Northwest X Southern Hospitality.

The 95-room Hampton Inn by Hilton Black Mountain opened last week in North Carolina. The hotel, developed, owned and managed by LPCA, LLC, is located along the Swannanoa River 15 miles east of downtown Asheville. Amenities include an indoor pool, fitness center, 600-square-foot meeting room and lobby bar.

The 227-rooom DoubleTree by Hilton Appleton in Wisconsin also began welcoming guests last week. Located 40 miles southwest of Green Bay, the hotel includes a restaurant, 5,600 square feet of meetings and events space, a 24-hour fitness center and a heated indoor swimming pool. Fox Valley Hospitality owns the property and Regal Hospitality, Inc. manages it.

Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Culpeper opened in Virginia two weeks ago. Owned by H3YMB, LLC, and developed by Hospitality Builders, Inc., it features 98 guestrooms, a fitness center, an indoor pool and a meeting room.

Marriott

The 122-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Bakersfield Central, owned and managed by Prime Hospitality Services, opened in Bakersfield, Calif. Hotel amenities include an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, five electric-car charging stations, valet laundry service and 750 square feet of meeting space.

Last week, the 120-suite Residence Inn by Marriott Virginia Beach Town Center opened in Virginia. Owned and managed by Virginia Beach’s Coastal Hospitality Associates, the hotel features an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center and 952 square feet of meeting space. Suites, designed for stays of five of more nights, include a fully equipped kitchen with a coffeemaker, microwave oven and residential-size appliances.

In Pennsylvania, The Residence Inn by Marriott Lancaster, owned and managed by Lancaster’s High Hotels Ltd., offers 127 studio and one-bedroom suites, all with a similarly equipped kitchen. The property offers weeknight social gatherings, an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a 12-person boardroom and 750 square feet of meeting space.

The 84-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Jasper opened and is owned by River Centre Hotel Developers, LLC, Boxer Girl, LLC and General Hotels Corp., which also will manage it. The property offers an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center and valet laundry service.

Other

Uptown Suites opened its seventh extended-stay hotel and its second location in Austin, Texas. The pet-friendly Uptown Suites Extended Stay Austin TX-Downtown offers 129 guestrooms, each featuring an in-room kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, two-burner stovetop and Keurig coffee machine.

The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark opened in Monticello, N.Y. The Catskills resort is located 90 minutes from New York City and features 324 suites; a two-acre indoor waterpark; an indoor entertainment center with an arcade, mini-bowling and ropes course; seven restaurants and bars, a spa and a 11,000-square-foot conference center. The hotel is managed by Benchmark Resorts & Hotels.
