4 hotels open on the West Coast

A dual-branded Residence Inn by Marriott/Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott and a Hyatt Place opened earlier this month in California. A second Residence Inn by Marriott will debut later this week in Washington.  

InfiniPower Hospitality Group opened the dual-branded Residence Inn/Fairfield Inn in San Jose, Calif., earlier this month. The property includes an outdoor swimming pool, a lobby bar, 1,125 square feet of meeting space, a fitness center, an outdoor patio, a basketball court and a putting green. The Residence Inn by Marriott San Jose North/Silicon Valley offers 147 suites and the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott San Jose North/Silicon Valley features 114 rooms. Johnson Hospitality operates both hotels.

North of San Jose, the Hyatt Place Vacaville also opened this month. Locally owned by the Gill and Sidhu families, the new hotel is managed by Southern California-based Evolution Hospitality. The hotel features 136 guestrooms, a coffee and cocktail bar and more than 525 square feet of meeting space. The hotel is located roughly 35 miles from Sacramento, Calif., and 55 miles from San Francisco.

In Washington, the Residence Inn by Marriott Seattle South/Renton is set to open Aug. 22. The 146-suite hotel features a 24-hour food-and-beverage market, a meeting room, a fitness center and a full-service bar. Located next to Lake Washington, the Residence Inn is 8 miles from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and 20 minutes from downtown Seattle. Dallas-based Texas Western Hospitality manages the hotel.
