Over the span of two weeks, six Fairfield by Marriott hotels opened in the South, Midwest and Pacific Northwest. Here are all the details.
South
In Alabama, the 120-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Birmingham Downtown opened in late July. The hotel features 3,758 square feet of meeting space and a fitness center. It is located within walking distance of Birmingham, Ala.’s, Theatre District and 5 miles from Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport. Its owner and operator, Ascent Hospitality Management of Buford, Ga., is a hotel development and management company with more than 31 hotels and more than 3,000 rooms in its portfolio.
The 83-room Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Gainesville I-35 opened in Texas July 31. Gainesville Hotel owns the hotel and Mid-Continent Hospitality of Carrollton, Texas, manages it. The hotel features an indoor swimming pool, an exercise room and 540 square feet of meeting space. It is located near WinStar Casino, The WinStar Golf Course, the Frank Buck Zoo and Lake Kiowa Country Club.
A few days earlier, the 114-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Little Rock Airport opened in Arkansas. Locally-based Mehta Hospitality owns and manages the hotel. The property includes a restaurant, a full-service bar, an indoor saline pool, a fitness center and laundry facilities. Less than a mile from the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport and five minutes from downtown, the hotel provides convenient access to the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, the Museum of Discovery and the Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site.
Midwest
The 110-room Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Milwaukee West opened July 25. West Milwaukee Hotel, an affiliate of Jackson Street Holdings and ICAP Development, owns the hotel and Aimbridge Hospitality manages it. The hotel features a fitness center. It is located 13 miles from General Mitchell International Airport and less than 10 minutes from downtown Milwaukee.
The Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Goshen (Ind.) opened July 19. Goshen Hotels owns the 92-room hotel and Ascent Hospitality Management manages it. The hotel offers an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center, a meeting room and boardroom. Nearby attractions include Goshen College, RV/MH Heritage Hall of Fame and the Old Bag Factory.
Pacific Northwest
The 99-room Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Wenatchee opened in East Wenatchee, Wash., on August 1. East Wenatchee Hospitality owns the property and Ignite Hotels Corp. of Richland, Wash., manages it. The hotel features a lounge with a full-service bar, an indoor swimming pool and a fitness center. It is located near or within driving distance of Wenatchee Valley Mall, Mission Ridge Ski Resort and Leavenworth Bavarian Village.
