Cambria opens brand's first Massachusetts hotel in Boston

The 159-room Cambria Hotel Boston, Downtown-South Boston is open, marking the brand’s eighth debut this year. Real estate investor City Point Capital developed the hotel and Meyer Jabara Hotels manages it.

The hotel features a 4,000-square-foot rooftop bar and lounge, a bar and café with outdoor seating, multifunction event space for up to 200 people and a fitness center. It is located within walking distance of the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center and near the offices of major corporations like General Electric, Gillette and Amazon.

"We couldn't think of a more fitting place to welcome the Bay State's first Cambria hotel and continue a busy period for the brand than South Boston—one of the city's fastest growing neighborhoods," Janis Cannon, SVP of upscale brands at Choice Hotels International, said in a statement. "The hotel conveys a unique sense of place through dramatic design and architecture, which perfectly bridges the area's industrial past with the city's academic spirit."

Cambria Hotels has more than 45 hotels open across the United States, including properties in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Phoenix and Washington, D.C. The brand expects to open up to five more locations by year-end.
