Choice Hotels opens new Cambria in Newport, R.I.

Choice Hotels International, in partnership with Seaview Inn, opened the Cambria Hotel in Newport, R.I.

Located at 240 Aquidneck Ave, the 143-room property is located near Easton's Beach, the Newport mansions, the Naval Station and a variety of businesses. The hotel offers guests views of the nearby waterfront.

"As Cambria Hotels continues to expand in key markets throughout the country, Newport is perfect for leisure guests who want to take in all of the stunning scenery, and business travelers looking for spacious guestrooms to spread out and work or who can take advantage of the Wi-Fi in any of the property's flexible spaces," Janis Cannon, SVP, upscale brands at Choice Hotels, said in a statement. "Cambria Hotels are designed for the modern traveler, with properties that offer guests all of the indulgences they desire so that they can treat themselves on the road."

The Cambria Hotel Newport provides contemporary onsite dining, serving a menu comprised of local specialties, liquor, wine and local craft beers, as well as freshly prepared grab-and-go gourmet salads and sandwiches, and a barista bar. The property also includes a shuttle to and from downtown Newport, 25,000 square feet of meeting space, a saltwater pool, fitness center and business center.

Headquartered in Middletown, R.I., Seaview Inn develops and operates hotels and motels in the Newport area.
